Annual Blue Water Paddle Race

Saturday October 3, 2026 at Doran Beach

THE 15th ANNUAL SONOMA COAST SURFRIDER BLUE WATER PADDLE RACE is at Doran Beach in Bodega Bay on October 3, 2026. Doran Beach is one edge of the Greater Farallones National Marine Sanctuary which is an area Surfrider aims to protect.

The Blue Water Paddle Race is held each October at beautiful Doran Beach in Bodega Bay. The Sonoma Coast Surfrider is proud to do what we can to keep our oceans clean, healthy, and vibrant. Proceeds from the race go towards that end. We are a small chapter in a beautiful area. Hopefully you can join us in person for the best little race around, going strong since 2012!

If you will be paddling:

Step 1. Register on Paddle Guru for your event

Step 2. Sign your Surfrider waiver

Step 3. Show up at the event and have fun!

If you will be a spectator:

Step 1: Let us know you're coming!

Step 2: Show up at the event and have fun!

Any paddle powered water craft can enter. If you don’t see your division, for example you want to paddle a sheet of plywood, contact us.

Registration closes at 9:30am on Race Day.
