Arline is a water sport enthusiast and became involved with Sonoma Coast Chapter Surfrider Foundation five years ago. Initially, she focused on fund-raising and organizing our annual Blue Water Paddle Race. Now, she is happy to be volunteer coordinator recruiting new members, supporting beach clean-ups and working with local students as they pursue environmentally oriented careers.

Karen Groff, Secretary

Karen

I am a paraprofessional at Rancho Cotati High School. I love to bake. I visit the beach often and clean up trash every time I go for a walk. I have a daughter who is a sophomore at U.C. Santa Cruz. She and my husband, Scott, also love to clean the beaches with me. Hawaii is our favorite vacation spot, followed by Lake Tahoe.

Sarah, Treasurer

Sarah Sonoma

Sarah developed a passion for the ocean while exploring the Santa Cruz area as a child. She first became involved with Surfrider after participating in the Marine Debris Community Outreach Program with the Monterey chapter in 2010. This sparked her interest in the issues surrounding plastic pollution and she continues to work with Sonoma Coast Surfrider to advocate for responsible solutions to environmental issues along our beautiful coast.

In Memoriam

In loving memory of two great Sonoma Coast Surfrider leaders we lost in 2019. Your passion for the coast lives on within our chapter.
